Darrin Bright, MD

Dr. Bright is a board-certified family medicine and sports medicine physician, with a special focus on sports medicine, comprehensive care for runners, triathletes and cyclists, overuse injuries, stress fractures and Active Release Technique (ART).

He is the director of the MAX Sports Medicine Endurance Academy, head team physician for Worthington Kilbourne High School and Otterbein College and serves as the medical director for The Columbus Marathon and Capital City Half Marathon. Dr. Bright is a coach for Marathoners in Training, and also serves as a medical consultant to several running and cycling groups within the central Ohio area. He previously served as a team physician for The Ohio State University Department of Athletics.

Dr. Bright is an avid marathon runner and triathlete, having completed over 40 marathons and ultramarathons including The Columbus Marathon, Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon and Chicago, New York City and Boston marathons. In addition to multiple Olympic and sprint distance triathlons, he also completed Ironman Florida.

Recently, Dr. Bright was the No.1 ranked doctor in central Ohio for sports medicine in the 10TV and Columbus Dispatch’s “Docs Rate Docs” survey. In 2011, he was also named one of Columbus Business First’s “40 Under 40."
